Apple to sell its new smart IP-TV at the end of 2012

In the middle of this year Apple is going to finish the development of its "smart" iTV, which will be available for sales next winter, according to the online resource DigiTimes.

The components for Apple iTV are expected to be supplied by Sharp (panel) and Samsung (CPU); Foxconn is responsible for the assembly. The first models will be equipped with 32 and 37 inches TV screens. According to Pocket-lint, Apple iTV will broadcast all the content, including "video on demand", via the Internet (using a built-in IPTV receiver).

Information about this new Apple device for digital TV is indirectly confirmed in the official Steve Jobs’ biography that appeared on sale last year.
