30 December 2011 : LG Electronics has announced mass production of its 3D TV with the world's largest screen; it will start in the second half of 2012. The size of the new device is 84 inches (3840 x 2160 pixels), four times larger than Full HD resolution. Prior to this announcement such a record belonged to Samsung and its 75-inch TV, which appeared in the last May.
